Twisted Tales to Delight and Amaze

Pairs of Wings

Death From Above:

During the battle for Ãlskad, the beloved forest, Mörken the Dark One used Kanthri bats as weapons against the Waldvolker.

The Kanthri were fast and highly maneuverable compared to the swans the Waldvolker used.

Unfortunately for many Troth pilots, the Kanthri proved too erratic in their flight patterns, causing pilots to be thrown to their deaths.

Additionally, when a Kanthri got the smell of fresh blood, they became uncontrollable, attacking both the pilot and the target.

During Asterix’s now-famous escape from the Dark One’s base, he and Guinevere almost didn’t return to the forest.

As luck would have it, the swan flew dangerously close to the ground, causing the Kanthri to dart violently.

The Troth pilot was found impaled on a pine limb several days after Asterix’s return.

To this day, children beg Asterix to retell his adventure. Each time, the tale becomes a little more thrilling and unbelievable.
