Twisted Tales to Delight and Amaze

Crossing That Bridge

Ned was always afraid of crossing Stone Creek Bridge before midday sun. It was said it brought bad luck to those who did.

He had lived his whole life believing in superstition.

One day, occupied with thoughts of the upcoming harvest, Ned crossed the bridge before the midday sun.

Nothing happened.

After that, Ned stops believing in superstitions and lives a happy life.

He was killed while walking under a ladder when the worker dropped a hammer on his head.

So it goes.

I am commenting back promptly because you commented on my site just recently.

Now, this made me huff with laughter. It was actually funny! I am not that easy to please, so take that as high praise. I especially liked the ending line, “So it goes.” Perfect.
