Twisted Tales to Delight and Amaze

The Keeper of Dreams

“Yes, this should do nicely,” said the Keeper.

For as long as he could remember, he had been the guardian of dreams. Each night, the Keeper would select a memorable dream, then mix it with sand.

“Now to send it off to the Sandman,” muttered the Keeper.

The dreams are delivered through dragon mail for safety.

The Nightmares flew on the hooves of lightning, making fairy mail much too slow and dangerous.

“Aloysius, please see that this dream gets to the Sandman without delay,” said the Keeper.

The dragon placed the vile into his mail pouch and was off.

“I do worry I’m pushing them too hard,” said the Keeper. “But if the Nightmares get hold of a dream, catastrophe would befall the dreamers.”

So it went day in and day out.

“Tonight, a few drops of the blue moon light should add spice to the dreams,” remarked the Keeper.

For as long as he could remember, he had been the guardian of dreams.

“I hope I never have to retire. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself,” the Keeper said with a wry smile.

For our dreams’ sake, let’s all hope he is right.
