Twisted Tales to Delight and Amaze

Contemplation

“I wonder if what the storyteller said was true,” muttered the rabbit.

During feeding, the bucks and does shared stories. Storm listened to a doe tell the tale of the jade rabbit.

“Alone on the moon for all eternity seems cruel,” thought Storm.

Storm learned that the Jade Emperor transported the rabbit to the moon for being selfless. There, he pounds the elixir of life for the gods.

“Such hard work for such a little animal,” said Storm.

Storm gazed at the moon to see if he could see the rabbit. No matter how long he stared, it still looked like a smiling man than a rabbit.

“These thoughts are much too large for a little rabbit. It is best to leave it up to the storytellers,” mumbled the rabbit as he grazed.

As Storm munched away, he caught himself gazing at the moon out of the corner of his eye.

“What if it is true?” he thought. “Shouldn’t we try to help the jade rabbit come home?” said the rabbit.

The moon finally dipped below the horizon, meaning it was time to return home.

“Thinking can wear you out. I need to enjoy the grass and sun. That’s what rabbits are best at,” thought Storm, then headed for the warren.

Storm made a mental note not to listen to stories that weren’t about racing or boxing. Safer that way, thought the rabbit as he headed down the tunnel to darkness and safety.
