Twisted Tales to Delight and Amaze

Time to Talk

“We can’t let the fools on the council wish away the facts,” said Trellis.

“I don’t see why we must act. There is no evidence to support the Dark Ones’ return,” her sister replied.

Trellis and Telia were the granddaughters of Hedrick the wizard. As such, they learned to see beyond the veil of normalcy.

“You know what grandfather always says, ‘Prudence wins the day.” Telia reminded her sister.

“Be damned, prudence, I’m telling you the Watchers have seen signs of the Troth. Where there is Troth, Mörken is not far behind,” cried Trellis.

“Your wisdom rings true. What should we do?” asked Telia.

The sisters discussed alerting the hidden folk who dwell deep in the ancient forest. “Huldrefolk will sense if the Dark One should enter the wood,” answered her sister.

“This time we will not wait for committees before we act against the Troth,” said Telia.

“Mörken the Dark One tried to destroy Ãlskad and the Waldvolker. We will not allow him to repeat his terror in the forest,” remarked Trellis.

The sisters secured steeds for the journey into the dark forest. There, they would forge the Waldvolker’s future against the coming darkness.

“We will not fail,” muttered Trellis as she disappeared into the cover of the trees.

NOTE: This tale is a warm-up to the return of MÖRKIN the DARK ONE and his evil Troth minions. The fate of the Waldvolker is at risk – stay tuned for more exciting adventures.
