There are some places one should not go. Dark Glen or Gleann Dubh on the Isle of Skye is one of them.
Tales tell of wee folk causing trouble to anyone who disturbs their sanctuary. “It was as if they came out the rocks biting and scratching. I tell you, I barely got out with my skin attached,” reported a traveler.
The officials have sent in teams to capture these tiny demons. No matter how hard they search, not a single one is ever caught, regardless of the traps they set
There are stories of children getting lost and finding their way into the glen. They report that wee men gave them sweets and played with them. Later, the little men led the children back to their parents.
Whoever the Wee Folk of Gleann Dubh are, they have no interest in visitors or having their pictures taken. If you walk on the Isle of Skye, avoid the Dark Glen and its tiny demons. Otherwise, you will surely find yourself missing a strip of your hide as a lesson from the wee folk.
