Twisted Tales to Delight and Amaze

A Simple Truth

A Simple Truth

A Simple Truth Is Not Easy

“What is it you believe in,” asked the Snark.

“Truth,” I answered.

“Truth? There is no such thing as truth. We are fools in a fool’s paradise,” said the creature.

“If truth is not real, then what do you call the now,” I questioned.

“The now is merely a slice of time you and I are filling in with our colored pens, nothing more,” the Snark said.

“I came here to this filthy swamp in hopes the great demon of the dark wood could shed some light on the meaning of life. All I got was wet feet and a bunch of hogwash,” I snapped back.

“Then you are luckier than most,” laughed the Snark.

“What do you mean by luckier?” I asked.

“I have eaten today,” said the Snark with a wry smile.

“Oh, I understand,” I said, turning and hiking rapidly out of the forest.

I may have gotten something, but I must think about it first after cleaning my soiled underwear.
