A Gruggle Monk can appear and vanish at any time. It is a shapeshifter, but its normal form is that of a humanoid-troll hybrid.
The Gruggle Monk was not always the enemy of humans. But something happened long ago to set it on a vengeful path.
These days, the beastie is a vindictive demon that lures people to their deaths. Like the Will-o’-the-Wisps, the beastie confuses humans, causing them to become lost.
The Gruggle Monk has been known to shoot poison arrows made from the caster bean. This causes their victim to die in agonizing pain.
Known for their magical ability that allows them to sound like an injured child. At times they have appeared as a helpless animal on the ground.
Whatever happened so long ago to set the beast upon the human race, we may never know.
One thing is certain. If you encounter a Gruggle Monk, pray you haven’t wronged it. Else bones are all they’ll find of you when the searching is done.
